An art gallery in London was forced to remove a photograph of a naked woman and a swan after a passing police officer said it ‘condoned bestiality’.
The image – a depiction of the Greek myth of Leda and the Swan – was hanging in the window of The Scream gallery in Mayfair where it had featured for a month without receiving any complaints.
But a particularly sensitive member of the Met was left spitting feathers after he spotted Derrick Santini’s photograph from a bus window, and promptly ordered the gallery to take it down.
Leda and the swan. Really? Those naughty old Greeks. Just wait until Mr Plod meets that randy old goat, Pan.

If “Sex Trade” had an ur-text, only no one told me about it until 2 nights ago. Actual email sent from one character to another that also sums up the whole plot: ‘WORD IS U R IN VEGAS W A HOOKER! THAT COULD KILL R IPO!#!” That is an email sent by Jason Calacanis. The real one, playing what we are left to assume is a start-up CFO or CEO. Who also orders Peter Sarsgaard’s character to get laid or else he will replace him with a hundred engineers out of MIT. Molly Parker is a stripper who also plays drums in a post-riotgrrrl band in San Francisco so of course that’s who’s going to have sex with Peter Sarsgaard. Only she’s a stripper, and so when she agrees to go away with him to Las Vegas for three days for $10,000, she tells him — also over email — that he must abide by a contract: no penetration (“no fucking!” she elaborates), sexual contact only between the hours of 10pm and 2am, and a room of her own. There is a soundtrack best described as “smooth triphop” and a lot of red lighting and dutch angled shots of mouths parted at the corners of the screen. Miranda July and Paul Auster got story credits. The internet is compared to “the center of the world,” and to a cunt.
